Teachers say ‘pensions fight isn’t over’

Unions representing the largest numbers of teachers and civil servants across the UK are preparing for a second coordinated mass strike against the Coalition government’s attack on public sector pensions.
They accuse the government of refusing to make any serious improvement in their pension proposals, despite the success of the November 30th strike.
Members of NUT, PCS and UCU are committed to taking action. They may be joined by members of Unite, the Scottish education union EIS, Welsh teachers union, the UCAC, NIPSA – civil servants in Northern Ireland – and the FBU.
